PRLBC Picket Amtrak Board Chairman Anthony Coscia
Jun 04, 2013

June 3, 2013 - The Passenger Rail Labor Bargaining Coalition picketted the law office of Amtrak Board Chairman Anthony Coscia in New Brunswick, NJ., protesting the fact that we have been unable to negotiate a new agreement with Amtrak for more than three years.  Amtrak has continually stalled talks and engaged in bad faith bargaining.  The PRLBC has asked to be released from government mediation so that the dispute can be resolved.  Amtrak opposition to this release is the reason for our protest. View Press Release and Flyer for today's event.

Well, the bosses sure thought they were smart
When they tried to stall our pay,
They said, "We can contract out for the likes of you
For fifty bucks a day."
But they didn't count on the union,
We were solid, every man
And every woman on that railroad
Stuck firmly to our plan.
And this expert in a suit and tie
On the TV news at ten,
He asked, "How long more can you hold out,"
We said, "One more day than them."

If we've told them once, we've told them twice,
And we told them again and again;
That no matter what we're holding out
One more day than them!
