This is to advise that the James R. Hoffa 2015 Memorial Scholarship notice has been published on our website.

Follow this link for a copy of the application notice and instructions issued by IBT. Eligible dependents of BMWED members are, of course, welcomed and encouraged to apply. You may forward and/or post the application or reproduce it for distribution as you deem appropriate. 

Note that page 4 contains a required membership verification form, and any scholarship application submitted without said membership verification will not be processed by IBT.

Item # 3 on page 4 stipulates that “BMWED members must send to the System Federation Secretary-Treasurer for signature.”  

Per the application instructions from IBT, BMWED applicants are required to send the entire package with their completed Application Form, Academic Record Form, and List of Activities  to the System Federation for membership verification. The System Federation ST must fill out page 4 (items 1-3) and sign the Secretary-Treasurer’s membership verification form. The System ST should then forward the entire package, with executed membership verification form, to IBT via USPS or UPS at:

Please note that scholarship application packets must be received by the JRH Memorial Scholarship Fund (postmarked) by March 31, 2015. Applications not postmarked by that date will not be processed by IBT. Therefore, time  is of the essence.
