The BMWED/SMART-Mechanical bargaining coalition met with the National Carriers’ Conference Committee on June 29, 2015 in Arlington, VA to continue national handling of the coalitions’ wage, benefits and rules notices. The meeting included a presentation by the joint Working Group of Coalition and NCCC healthcare experts and a discussion followed.

The Coalition and NCCC agreed on additional areas of investigation for the Working Group and will meet again on Oct. 8 and 9, 2015 in Arlington. The parties agreed that the October dates would be the earliest that the Working Group could gather the relevant information, analyze it, and present a meaningful and informative report to the bargainers, given the extensive and detailed task presented to the Working Group. Additional updates will be provided as bargaining progresses.
