We have recently negotiated an agreement with Norfolk Southern which will return the work of distributing tie plates in conjunction with dual rail, single-side rail, curve rail, or gauging projects throughout the NW-Wabash system to the BMWED.
General Chairman Jed Dodd's response to Amtrak"s recent Special Employee Advisory wherein President Joe Boardman asserts "… [Amtrak] cannot sustain this level of payroll or overtime going forward." The advisory continues, bemoaning the fact that Amtrak lost commuter contracts throughout the nation while Boardman attempts to tie those losses to the worker's wages and overtime. Mr. Boardman is delusional if he believes Amtrak's remedy can be found in the pockets of the workers.

Rush Limbaugh, Karl Rove, Sean Hannity and Fox News are fuming about a video which they have branded as left-wing propaganda and named it as the threat of socialism. The GOP is furious and has attempted to block "Tax the Rich: An animated fairy tale" from the world wide web. Midway through the animation, there’s an image of the rich pissing on the 99%, and it's caused so much heartburn that the creators of this video have removed the pissing scene. The Penn Fed is able to post this controversial media (minus the golden shower) thanks to the California Federation of Teachers. This is a don't miss primer on how it all fell apart, who's to blame, and what we need to do about it. We will not be quiet. The next few weeks will reveal whether President Obama’s reelection will be interpreted as a mandate to help fix the federal budget by asking the rich to pay their fair share of taxes.
